Description

The Horse Speaks All Languages aims to create a safe space and learning environment for people with or without disabilities in mixed groups where we work using the horse as the main tool for integration and creating of projects and methods. Volunteers will empower persons with disabilities to be a part of our community and participate at equal terms, and reduce the stigma associated around persons with disabilities. Your role as a volunteer involves: Offer assistance in our social groups in the areas of circus, horse vaulting, drama and dance. Be a part of “farm life” where you work around horses in coherence with nature. Follow the process where horses play a big role in the development of many peoples lives in a collaboration with different schools, habilitations and organisations. Create/implement social activities and logistics of other EU projects. Assist the team in strengthening the community of volunteers and create an international location in the countryside.

Accommodation, food and transport arrangements

Accomodation: Throughout the duration of the volunteering experience will be funded by the project. Volunteers will be placed in a private house with their own kitchen, bathrooms and showers. There is a common area with TV and Wifi. Outside is a barbeque area. Personal Allowance & Food Budget: Budgets will be allocated every month. Volunteers will be responsible to do their own shopping. Transportation: If the volunteers have a driver's license they will be provided a car for shopping. There are also bikes to use whenever you please. Transportation for big cities are buses/trains.

Training during the activity

Training and Support: On arrival, volunteers will be supported to conduct a number of orientation visits of the services that Caprifolen operates. Caprifolen will provide training on how to work with/around horses and with the target group -people with disabilities. The Swedish National Agency will provide arrival training.
