Description

Saint Nicolas Bishop Association works mainly with children and youth, but also with seniors and entire families. We are non-governmental, catholic organization. Our regular activities include running the socio-therapeutic common-room, youth club and a senior club. Moreover, there are events and actions animating the local community: festivals and family events living in our district. Volunteers work as assistance to educators of children and in youth club. They assist in animating free time activities, help children in homeworks, run workshops of own idea for children, youth or seniors. Accommodation, food and transport arrangements

Volunteer will be provided with monthly pocket money and tickets for buses in Gdynia to go to work. Volunteer will share a room with 2-3 other volunteers in a rented flat.

Training during the activity

Volunteer is obliged to participate in training provided by National Agency (On-arrival training and Mid-term training) as well as trainings run and organized by supporting organization.

Participant profile

We are looking for a cheerful, patient volunteer who is determined to achieve the goal and respect our work style. It is welcome if the volunteer has a good command of English and is willing to learn Polish, which would help him/her a lot in his daily life and allow to become more involved in the life of the organization.
