The power of together

12 months at the Munich Film Society

Münchner Filmwerkstatt e.V.

München, Germany

Description

We aim at developing and supporting the independent film scene in Munich and in Germany alltogether. For this reason we offer trainings, workshops and seminars about film given by prominent German and international professionals who share their knowledge with our visitors. You will be taking part in our weekend trainings and will be the teaching assistant, so to speak. You will ensure the workshop goes smoothly. Anything from making coffee through taking care of technical problems will be a huge part of your job with us. Most of your working time will take place on weekends due to the fact, that our workshops are on the weekends. We can also offer you a huge playing field in terms of starting your own little projects. Apply with a motivation letter following this questionnaire: www.muenchner-filmwerkstatt.de/europaeischer-freiwilligendienst and send a CV, photo and motivation letter to efd@muenchner-filmwerkstatt.de

Accommodation, food and transport arrangements

We will give you your food allowance and you can decide what to spend it on. We will organize your accommodation for the first 2-3 months aas well as pay for it for the whole year, but we advise you to find a flatshare with German flatmates for two reasons: You will have even more opportunities to improve your German; you will not be alone and will instantly have a social safety net. We can provide you with either a public transport ticket OR a bike. Munich is very bike friendly and wonderful to explore on two wheels.

Training during the activity

You will take part in all our educational opportunities, since this is your main working fiels. You will leave with a thorough understanding of filmmaking and lots of contacts in the film making scene in Munich and Germany.

Participant profile

We are looking for inspired and motivated young people with some interest in filmmaking and cinematogrpahy and the willingness to learn a lot about the field. We are also looking for people who like organization, office work and communicating with others. You should like to take matters in your own hands and not be scared to get involved.
