#EUSolidarityCorps Poem Contest "My European Solidarity Corps and what solidarity means to me"

Take part in the European Solidarity Corps Poem Contest and have a chance to win a European Solidarity Corps promotion kit and other prizes.

After seven rounds of contests, we are now interested in a poem from you. Please share with us your answers to the following questions:

                   How did you experience the European Solidarity Corps? What does solidarity mean to you?

How can you share your poem?

  1. You are registered on the European Solidarity Corps Portal on the European Youth Portal
  2. Login with your credentials
  3. Choose the language in which you will write your poem. You are allowed to submit your poem in the 24 languages of the European Union (Bulgarian, Croatian, Czech, Danish, Dutch, English, Estonian, Finnish, French, German, Greek, Hungarian, Irish, Italian, Latvian, Lithuanian, Maltese, Polish, Portuguese, Romanian, Slovak, Slovenian, Spanish and Swedish).
  4. Describe your experience with the European Solidarity Corps and your definition of “solidarity” in minimum 150 characters in the appropriate box. After your poem, do not forget to mention the place, the country and the time of your European Solidarity Corps activity.
  5. Please note that we are looking for poems reflecting the ideals, values and the true spirit of the European Solidarity Corps. Attention, your European Solidarity Corps experience should have taken place after the start of our programme as of 7th December 2016.
  6. By submitting your poem you give the consent to the European Commission to publish the poem.

The contest is open to young people between 18 and 31 registered on the European Solidarity Corps Portal who have already experienced a volunteering activity.

Up to ten poem contest winners will receive a European Solidarity Corps promotion kit and a voucher of a value of 100 €. In addition, the best poem of the poem contest will be partially selected by on-line voting out of the ten winners. The person who submits the best poem will receive an Interrail ticket to travel to seven destinations for the maximum of one month or a voucher of the same value.
