Description
The Maison de l’Europe de Tours Centre Val de Loire is an apolitical organization whose purpose is to inform the local citizens about actions of the European Union and to spread the European cultures. We take action at several levels thanks to the organization of European Coffees, debates, screenings, celebration of European Day and exhibitions on European topics. Moreover, we go to schools and organisations in order to talk or liven up educational games about European topics first chosen. Volunteer's tasks will be: - Organize events to introduce one's country of origin - Help to prepare and organize the European day - Prepare and lead activities with children in schools - Help in animating our social networks with news and articles - Propose activities linked to personal interests and skills - Work with the volunteers of the region as part of the Regional Mobility Platform by creating activities and workshops altogether - Help in sending young French in EVS...
Participant profile
The volunteer must want to share one's culture with the others and be able to work with children, youth and adults. The voluteer has to be able to work in a team but also in autonomy. The volunteer must be curious and wanting to learn about Europe and able to discuss with other people. Good learning capacities and strong will to share one's knowlegde and opportunities. Someone with basic level in English and maybe some little knowledge of French would be appreciated. Interest for Europe, culture, France, mobility, youth and languages would be nice.
