From September 2018, Un Pas De Côté will host 2 volunteers for 12 month. In a first step, volunteers will be involved in all the différent activities of the association to understand the organization and projects and meet different public and workers and volunteers from UPDC.In a second step, volunteers will choose some specific activities according their will and the skills they want to developp. The association Un Pas De Coté is an informal education organization created in 2005. It works in the cultural and artistic field : workshop and educational intervention (circus, music, dance….) setting up events, creation of professional and amateur performances, children center and camps, intercultural events ( international workcamps, young exchange, EVS hosting…) Un Pas De Côté is now developping environmental activities (nature activities, shared garden, transition...) There’s about 50 of local volunteers, 4 permanent employees, about 20 temporary workers and artists.

The volunteers will be hosted in an apartment in Chemillé, 7000 unhabitants, 6 km from St Lézin. The apartment will be share with other volunteers (french and european) during the year. The apartment is provided all furnished and with an internet connection, They will receive from Un Pas De Côté money for food and pocket money. The transport to the activities will be provided by workers or a car if the volunteers have a driving licence.

The young EVS will be integrated in the team, therefore will benefit from pedagogical training from the animators . Furthermore they will participate in 2 seminars organised by the national Erasmus+ agency

The volunteer needs to be between 18 and 30 years old. He/She doesn’t need to have a diploma to apply to the EVS but we would like someone who is: - Motivated by the mission - Open minded and able to communicate with other people - Being at ease at leading workshops (of course helped with the tutor) - Sensitive to the discovery of other cultures - Who wants to develop and animate cultural and environmental activities
