«UTILIZING THE COMPUTERS AS A TOOL IN STUDYING - OWN KNOWLEDGE»
Participants were 39 students 3 teachers from Lithuania, 2 teachers from Greece, 3 teachers from Bulgaria, 5 teachers from Turkey. The teachers were preferably Maths and English, so they could have first-hand experience of the lessons presented by students. The students were selected from the target group of 13-18 years old in each school. Before the exchange students in each country had to prepare 3 Maths lessons (the host country had to prepare 4 lessons) in English using the digital instruments that were presented during the first meeting or to use the new ones.
1. Induction and team building. Participants were given an orientation tour of the school, took part in mutual ice-breaking activities, presented their school, took a tour of the city of origin and the school.
2. Topic-related activities - the host school conducted workshops regarding proper employment of ICT tools and applications in order to design digital lessons/presentations, alternatives to PowerPoint (e.g. Prezi, Genially, Neapord and others) regarding to be employed for the future lessons. A balanced approach to theory and practice were maintened during the whole
visit.
3. Participating in the lessons- students and teachers were divided into smaller groups and were asked to take part in Math lessons in the host school.
Feedback and evaluation
- students had to fill in feedback forms on the exchange and its contents;
- participants provided answers to the questions regarding the host country.
certificates of attendance were handed and Euro pass mobility documents were written and endorsed.
For the entire week, cultural events or other team-building activities were planned by the host, in order to build up and enhance the cohesion and cultural dimension of the project.
Following the exchange, workshops of transfer of information and good practices acquired were held in every school - both students and teachers took part in.
