Youth has spoken! Find out what they really want

Last updated on Wednesday, 12/01/2022

The European Year of Youth is finally here, and young people have spoken – What do they really want out of 2022?

Young people are in the spotlight of the European Year of Youth. The European Commission launched an online survey in October 2021 for young people to share their ideas and help shape the Year. The survey  is now closed but the results are available online.

Interested in some insights?

  • Respondents would like to see festivals, workshops, debates, and training sessions to be organised as activities.
  • 58.8% of young people would like to actively contribute to the European Year of Youth, while 62.9% do not know or are not sure how to make their voice heard or express their opinion.
  • Most  respondents would prefer the activities to take place both in face-to-face and online formats (56,19%).
