60 rue Wiertz, 1040, Brussels, Belgium

Kick-off event of the European Youth Week 2024

The European Youth Week's 2024 flagship event will gather a diverse mix of young people, Commissioners alongside other European politicians, inspirational speakers and policy makers in the field of youth.

It will take place in the premises of the European Parliament in Brussels, which is a partner in the organisation of the event, in the spirit of the standing cooperation between both EU institutions on the alternating Commission European Youth Weeks and Parliament European Youth Events.

The event will start with an impactful plenary session which will be web-streamed. It will set the stage for insightful discussions and collective engagement. Encompassing a multifaceted approach, the event offers an extensive selection of around 33 parallel breakout sessions which fit under one themes of the Communication on the legacy of the European Year of Youth 2022:

Democratic participation and active citizenship

  • Health and wellbeing

  • Environment and climate

  • Education and training

  • Peace and international cooperation

  • Employment and social inclusion

Throughout the whole duration of the event, a vibrant marketplace will run inside of the premises of the European Parliament, showcasing and promoting various youth initiatives, policies and EU programmes that concern young people.

Outside the European Parliament, a remarkable exhibition will stand as a testament to the impactful practices of Erasmus+ and the European Solidarity Corps programmes.

This immersive kick-off event promises to be a celebration of innovation, collaboration, and the empowerment of the youth all over Europe and beyond.
