Here is what it will happen!
Join this five-day MeetUp along the Italian-Slovenian border to create new friendships and do some good for our environment.
Furthermore, you will discover Trieste, the city of the wind and the sea, where cultures meet in a melting pot of European flavors and you will then explore the natural beauties of the Slovenian karst area between Škocajn and Cerknica municipalities.

We will share further information with the first 20 people who register.

Participation's eligibility
MeetUps are organized mainly for DiscoverEU participants travelling in Italy during the MeetUp's dates.
DiscoverEU ambassadors living in Italy/Slovenia may also participate, but priority for participation is granted to participants coming from countries different from Italy/Slovenia.
DiscoverEU candidates in waiting list may also apply for participation, but priority for participation is granted to participants who won the PASS and are using it to travel in Italy/Slovenia.

Participation's regulations
Accommodation, food, local transportations (and equipment where needed) during the MeetUp's days will be covered for all confirmed participants.
Travels to MeetUp's arrival location (Trieste) and from departure location (Ljubljana) will be entirely borne to the participants.
Participants will be also responsible for any personal insurance coverages [e.g., travel coverage, third party liability coverage, medical payments coverage (for the part not covered by the European Health Insurance Card), personal injury protection, etc.] while traveling to/from and during the MeetUp's days.

Number of available places
This MeetUp is open up to 20 participants.
Participation will be granted on the first come, first served basis, until places last.

Škocajn/Cerknica
In the small land under the Alps there is a river with seven names. There is a disappearing lake that excited the minds of researchers from 17th Century onwards. And there are thousands of undiscovered karst caves, carved by mystic waters thousands of years ago with lakes inside and other surprises.
This is a very special and active MeetUp for those who are not afraid of the dark, who are not afraid of sometimes ending up in tight places, who don't mind get a little bit dirty :-) and for those who love challenges of the nature and adventure!

11:00 - 11:30 - Introduction to the MeetUp schedule and get together
12:00 - 13:00 - Visit of the Škocjan caves [1st part]
13:00 - 14:30 - Lunch at Ambrožič
15:00 - 17:30 - Visit of the Škocjan caves [2nd part]
17:30 - 18:00 - Bus transfer to Hotel Rakov Škocajn
20:00 - 22:30 - Dinner

July 20th
07:30 - 09:00 - Breakfast
09:00 - 09:30 - Bus transfer to Cerknica
09:30 - 13:00 - Visit to the Lake Cerknica
13:00 - 15:00 - Lunch at Levar farm
15:30 - 17:30 - Visit to Križna cave
17:30 - 20:00 - Free time
20:00 - 22:00 - Dinner

July 21st
07:30 - 09:00 - Breakfast and check-out
12:00 - 13:00 - Bus transfer to Ljubljana
