Welcome to Finland, the land of breath-taking nature and the home of heavy metal music! This meetup is organized in Helsinki, which is the green capital of Finland. Helsinki is a vibrant, free-spirited city with lots of fun things to do, amazing food and restaurants, cultural sites, and green parks. You will fall in love with the city and its lovely people!

We will provide two nights (8th - 10th August) in a hotel and meals for two days cost free (0€) for you. We will also provide a day ticket to public transportation for both days for you. Meet-up will start on Monday (8th Aug) morning with the arrival to the hotel and end on Wednesday (10th Aug) morning with departures from the hotel.

On Monday you will get to know the other travelers who will join the meet up. We will also go for a walking city tour and visit the Central Library Oodi, which is a masterpiece of modern architecture and a hub for creativity and civic activity in the heart of Helsinki. On Tuesday we will make a day trip to Suomenlinna, a historical sea fortress island nearby Helsinki. Suomenlinna is one of the Unesco World Heritage sites. Participants will have also free time to explore the city in both days on their own or with other meet up participants.

More detailed information about the meet up will be given to the participants in July. We expect that everyone will participate actively in the whole meet up programme. Meet up is organized by the Finnish National Agency for Education. We follow the principles of Safe Space.
