Technology and Society: Connections Across Frontiers

Organised around relevant skill-building activities and discussing dynamic content provided by expert academics and practitioners.

Age of participation:
18 - 30
Who is it for: Young People

Technology and Society is the first original Arabic-spoken Interactive Open Online Course. It invites youth to explore the role that technology plays in our everyday lives and our societies. Participants will learn from, and with their peers in an interactive, intercultural, online environment and reflect on the societal changes that come with technological developments.

Stimulated by bite-sized video lectures and other visual and written materials from expert academics and practitioners, participants exchange ideas and perspectives in weekly, live, online group sessions.

Technology has never been as influential as it is today; impacting our personal lives as well as the societies we live in. The rapid evolution of technology changes how people interact and build connections; it affects how people receive information, engage with social issues and participate in politics. Technology also shapes the job market, the way people work, get paid and spend their money. In the course Technology and Society participants get the chance to discuss the challenges and opportunities these technological developments pose.
