This week signals the start of the interactive online course “Countering hate Speech in Europe”. More than 100 participants are scheduled to meet each other and their facilitators for the first time this week on the Exchange Portal.

Together they will explore and discuss questions like what various forms hate speech is taking? 
What are the causes and consequences of hate speech at the individual and societal level? How is hate speech regulated in Europe? And what can be done to fight hate? 

This smaller scale Interactive Open Online Course is build around expert content presented in bit-sized video lectures. Not only will the participants reflect and critically discuss the themes of the course, but they will also work on developing a personal, creative campaign to counter a specific case of hate speech
