Did you know that Erasmus+ also supports youth participation projects?

Erasmus+ supports students' mobility and much more. You can receive funds under the “Youth Participation” action to run activities that tackle topics such as youth participation, media literacy and European values. Apply with your friends or as a youth organisation and make a concrete change in your community!



Who can apply?

Either you bring together an informal group of minimum 4 young people aged 13-30, including one leader of at least 18 years old or, you apply as part of a youth organisation (e.g. youth centre, non-governmental organisation, municipality).


To do what?

The activities should empower young people and support their active participation in democratic life, it can be seminars, workshops, awareness-raising campaigns, virtual and onsite debates, role-plays, simulations… It can be small scale projects in your community as well as wider actions at national or European level. 

Activities should follow one or more of the following objectives: 

  • participation in civic society;  
  • European common values and fundamental rights and European integration process (e.g. contribution to the EU Youth Goals);  
  • digital competences and media literacy; 
  • bring together young people and decision makers at local, regional, national and transnational level and/or contribute to the EU Youth Dialogue.

Projects can last from 3 to 24 months.


What financial support can you expect?

The maximum grant awarded per project is 60.000 EUR. It can cover costs related to coaching, inclusion support, travel and other expenses related to the organisation of events.


How to apply?

Applicants have to submit their grant applications following a call for proposals. Two rounds are organised each year.
