The time has come, the new round of DiscoverEU is here and with some fantastic news… DiscoverEU is now part of the Erasmus+ Programme family! Applications for the Fall 2024 call will open again on the European Youth Portal from 2nd October noon (CET) until 16 October 2024 noon (CEST).

A programme of the European Union, DiscoverEU offers young people, exclusively at the age of 18, the opportunity to receive a travel pass to explore Europe; an incredible learning experience you’re sure to never forget!

To apply, you must:

• Have been born between 1 January 2006 (included) and 31 December 2006 (included);
• Be a legal resident, at the time of the selection decision, of one of the following countries:
                  -  one of the Member States of the European Union including Overseas Countries and Territories (OCTs) or
                  -  one of the third countries associated to the Erasmus+ programme: Iceland, Liechtenstein, North Macedonia, Norway, Serbia, and Türkiye;
• Complete the correct ID, passport or legal residence card number on the online application form;
• Participate in a quiz (unless you apply as a group member).

If selected, you may travel for a minimum period of 1 day up to a maximum of 30 days between 1 March 2025 and 31 May 2026. 

Plus, you will also receive a DiscoverEU discount card with reductions on cultural visits, learning activities, sports, local transportation, accommodation, food and much more!

Wondering if you can travel with your friends?

Sure you can! It really is up to you. You can go solo or add up to 4 friends in your group provided they also meet the eligibility criteria.

Note that if you have a disability or health-related issue that could potentially impact your travel experience, you will receive assistance and support to ensure you will still be able to participate in the programme.
