Deadline Extended: Join the 2026 Pool of Young Journalists in Europe

Last updated on Friday, 26/09/2025

Are you a young person aged between 18 to 30 years old with a passion for storytelling and you want to be a voice for young Europeans? Then the 2026 Pool of Young Journalists in Europe is for you!

What is the Pool of Young Journalists?

The Pool of Young Journalists, a project by Eurodesk and the European Commission, offers an opportunity for young people to discuss and write on topics that matter to young people across the EU.

This initiative invites you to put your journalistic skills into practice. As a young journalist, you will have the freedom to create content in various formats such as articles, videos, photos, and podcasts.

Your work will be featured on the European Youth Portal, which receives over 8 million visits each year, as well as on Eurodesk’s social media channels.  This is a chance to develop your skills, learn from professionals through regular online training webinars, and build a network of contacts in journalism across Europe.

Who can apply?

  • 18 to 30 years old (you must be at least 18 years old by 1 February 2026).
