In the context of the 75th anniversary of the Council of Europe in 2024, an international competition was launched for young people to convey a creative vision of human rights in Europe through a photo or a short video.

Through photos and videos, participants are invited to: illustrate and defend human rights, reflect on the place of fundamental rights in their daily lives, show how they perceive human rights, reflect on how human rights are protected in Europe, and share their vision of the future of human rights in Europe.

You can apply if you're up to 26 years old, a non-professional photographer or film maker, and a national or resident of one of the 46 member States of the Council of Europe.

There are 4 awarded categories: ‘Best photograph’, ’Best video’, ‘Best AI generated image’, ‘Best AI generated reel’.

The winning creations will be exhibited at the Council of Europe headquarters, published on the Council of Europe’s websites and used in its social media posts. The winners will be invited to Strasbourg to take part in the World Forum for Democracy.

Check out the rules and submit your photo or video on Instagram (tagging @councilofeurope) by 14 July 2024.
