Join the COP26 European Union side events!

Last updated on Friday, 05/11/2021

Are you concerned about climate change? Once again, the European Union is organising physical and digital side events during the COP26 Climate Change Conference taking place in Glasgow from 1 to 12 November 2021, giving everyone the chance to participate and tackle together climate change.

For climate action to be successful, everyone, from individuals to organisations and communities, should get involved. We need to listen to one another, to talk about challenges and ideas, and to act together.

Would you like to know more and be on board?

On 10 November from 13:00 to 14:00, the European Climate Pact online workshop “How to listen, how to talk, how to act – bringing citizens’ voices to COP” will focus on how to communicate about climate change as part of the programme of COP26. The European Commission’s Executive Vice President for the European Green Deal, Frans Timmermans and Climate Pact Ambassadors will discuss the Climate Pact and how to build a greener Europe altogether.

On 11 November from 8:30 to 9:30 the European Climate Pact and the Youth Sounding Board online workshop “Youth and Climate Action: European Climate Pact & Youth Sounding Board” will focus on empowering young people to take climate action and Europe’s ambition to be the world’s first climate-neutral continent by 2050.

  • How can we create partnerships between young people from both Europe and around the world?
  • How can we better include young people in climate policy decision-making?
  • What does the Climate Pact offer young people?
