Live debate with lead candidates for Commission Presidency

The Eurovision debate featuring the top candidates for the Commissioner presidency takes place on 23 May 2024 from 3:00 pm to 4:45 pm in Parliament’s plenary chamber in Brussels.

The lead candidates who will be present at the debate are:
Walter Baier (Austria), European Left
Sandro Gozi (Italy), Renew Europe Now
Ursula von der Leyen (Germany), European People’s Party (EPP)
Terry Reintke (Germany), European Greens
Nicolas Schmit (Luxembourg), Party of European Socialists (PES).

The candidates will talk about important topics that matter to all of us from climate change to employment, democracy, migration and so on. The debate will be in English with interpretation provided in 24 languages and moderated by Martin Řezníček (Czech TV) and Annelies Beck (VRT, Belgium).
