Description

The integrative Kindergarten Biedermannstrasse is an integrative partly open institution with up to 120 children aged 1 to 6 years. There are 8 groups with 11-18 children in each. The main goal is to design and develop a living space with children. The concept combines sport activities and art/cultural activities. There are a few children with special needs. The task of the volunteer is to support educators in the daily activities, the volunteer will work with a small group of children. The volunteer will work with children in the age of 3 to 6 years and will be supported in creation of own project. The website of the kindergarten: https://biedermann.froebel.info/. Accommodation, food and transport arrangements

The volunteer will live in a shared flat having an own room, but will share a kitchen and a bathroom with the other volunteers. Pocket and Food money will be paid out as well as money to buy the local transportation monthly ticket (or you just buy a bike - 558 in total). Leipzig is a very nice city for cycling and the most quickly growing city in eastern Germany with a vibrant culture. Travel costs to Leipzig and back to your home will be paid out regarding the distance and the project budget.

Training during the activity

We will help you find a German language course which fits your needs and level. You will have a tutor and a mentor with whom you can reflect on your stay in Germany and project. The project is coordinated by the organisation FAIRbund e.V. Our Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/eu.fairbund/

Do you love working with children? Are you creative and open-minded? Do you have any hobbies that you can share with others? (music, sports, art) Are you a responsible person? Do you have ideas for fun and educational activities? Do you have at least B1 level of English and you are willing to learn German? If so, then you are a perfect candidate for this position!
