Do you want a deep cultural experience? Then you definitely should look into this European Solidarity Corps project in Ukraine. It is based on vast exploring of cultural context, close collaboration with the local population and empowerment of local youth, mobilization of intercultural dialogue and other civil actions in the historic Podillia region.

DC Pangeya Ultima from Vinnytsia, Ukraine and its partners invite individuals from EU to apply for ESC projects!
The topics of the project are: Cultural Dialogue, Civil Activation, Non-Formal Education and Youth Work. The local objectives are the following:
1. Development of rural ECO-CENTER STINA program and community development;
2. Promotion of leadership, active citizenship and non-formal education among young people of the wider region;
3. Amateur media production and engagement of youth through art and creative activities;
4. Intercultural dialogue and exchange, linguistics;
5. Build-up of incoming regional tourism.

Accommodation, food and transport arrangements

Depending on the project phase and its temporary objectives volunteers are accommodated in the Rural Eco-Centers or in the urban community of Vinnytsia. In apartments volunteers occupy separate rooms and they are located close to the center with all the necessary facilities. In Stina volunteers will stay in natural conditions. This means often plain conditions in the traditionally built house from clay and straw. As well in the summertime in Stina people stay in tents during camps.
Food costs will be reimbursed by the organizers and regional project-related travelling will be covered.

Training during the activity

Participants will be trained non-formal education skills, to work with young target audience. As well a lot of experiential, action-based learning gain is expected on-site. Volunteers will be enrolled and participate in the ESC training cycle provided by SALTO EECA.
A great source of learning practical skills is work in the rural ECO-CENTER STINA as here volunteers are engaged in developing ad maintaining infrastructure, agricultural work and generally confront their comfort zone in natural conditions. Rural life teaches us enormous and useful knowledge that is dying away with the progress.

Participant profile

We are searching for participants whose interest lies within the action-based and experiential education, youth work and countryside context. You can expect empowerment, feeling of solidarity of the team and a bigger vision of impacting small communities of the entire region with our initiatives. We expect the volunteers to be willing to implement ideas, assist and overcome challenges, work as a team.
Basic requirements:
1) At least medium level of English
2) Motivation to work with hands and tools
3) Love to nature
4) Availability of the sending organization is an ADVANTAGE!
