Description

The ISFF Detmold is dedicated to high-quality films by innovative filmmakers from all around the world. More than 3,000 short film submissions come from approximately 100 countries each year. The festival primarily focuses on non-commercial short films. From major premieres to the first works of young talents, everything is represented. In addition to the short films, there are numerous highlights of art and music throughout the festival. The 21st ISFF Detmold opens the doors of cinema to everyone— and offers the possibility of barrier-free film viewing and listening. Selected film blocks will be provided with audio descriptions for the blind and visually impaired, as well as subtitles for the hearing impaired, thus offering the possibility of inclusive participation. These events include interviews, exhibitions, concert and parties.

Training during the activity

There will be an introduction training at the beginning and an evaluation at the final days of the volunteering. Volunteers have the possibility to take part in courses and further training according to their interests.

Participant profile

We are looking for participants who are motivated to actively engage and contribute. Desired skills: - An open-minded, enthusiastic individual who will bring energy and passion to our team. - Strong communication skills. - High determination and proactive engagement are essential. - Previous experience in volunteering and organizational work is a plus. - If possible German language skills. Where volunteers can gain experience from the shoulders of NGO staff: - Volunteers will have relevant knowledge, actively participate, and possess a basic understanding of EU initiatives such as the Erasmus+ and European Solidarity Corps programmes. They will also be informed about the importance of active participation. - Supporting the festival team in creating an inclusive international film festival. - Experience in Documenting the festival. - Experience with video editing. - Digital skills (graphic design, website design, Canva, social media, etc.). - Experience in NGO work. - Experience in media and film festivals. - Experience in live streaming.
