Description
The activity will take place at the Maison Familiale et Rurale Centre Yonne which is a rural school welcoming students weekly. Younsgters are training to work in agricultural/farming and outdoor jobs. The volunteer will have a couple missions including: > Raising awareness of locals about European mobility: Take part in groups mobility ; Implement actions to promote mobility experiences (film, photo, exhibition) for young people, families and internship supervisors; > Promotion of European cultures and interculturality: Participate in or develop innovative departure preparations; Organise activities about home country (meals, games, sports activity) or other cultures; > Participation in the daily life of the House: Organise activities in the evening for the younsters staying at the boarding school; Accompany young people in educational activities at the MFR or outside; Participation in Boards of Directors and communication actions (open house, forum, fair / party, etc.)
Accommodation, food and transport arrangements
The volunteer will stay in a single room in the boarding school of the Maison Familiale and Rurale (washing machine, dryer, kitchen available at the MFR). Being in a rural area, the volunteer will have access to a car and there is a train Station 5 mins walking from the MFR.
Training during the activity
Arrival and mid-term seminars organized by French National Agency First aid training Participate in training, seminars offered by the MFR network
Participant profile
We are looking for a dynamic and voluntary person with curiosity and strength of proposal. As we are in a rural area, the volunteer will need to be an active persone that likes nature and spending time outside. The volunteer will work in a team and in contact of youngsters, therefore, a liking for team work and youth will be required. REQUIRE DRIVING LICENCE
