Description

Your tasks will primarily include supporting the organisation of the Ljubljana Pride Festival 2024 and supporting the day-to-day office work (logistical and administrative support). The work will be mainly carried out in the office or in the field (including going to other public events or protests). About our organisation: Ljubljana Pride Association is mainly known as the organiser of the annual LGBTIQ+ Pride Parade. The purpose of the Ljubljana Pride Festival is to give space and a greater voice to LGBTIQ+ artists, topics, demands, organisations as well as to demand political and social change. We are a youth-led, anti-racist, feminist, LGBTIQ+ association that is active all year long and is fighting the discrimination of all LGBTIQ+ people and their intersectional identities.

Accommodation, food and transport arrangements

The project includes: Fully funded travel and accommodation; Covered food expenses and pocket money; Mentoring and Youthpass certificate; Health insurance; Language support.

Training during the activity

You will be included in the daily work and activities of the association. You will be supported by a working coordinator and a personal mentor. During your activity, you will participate in an on-arrival and mid-term training organised by the national agency, where you will get to meet the other ESC volunteers in Slovenia.

Participant profile

LGBTIQ+ EU resident (18 and 30 years old); Have a strong interest in LGBTIQ+ organisations and activism; Responsible, sociable and proactive; Well organised and structured; Comfortable with working in office environments / having an office routine; Fluent in English; Interested to co-create the Pride Festival; Have previous volunteering/working experience in the field of LGBTIQ+ and/or organizing a festival or big events, including event management, communication and/or fundraising; Like to work in team, feel that social change/activism is something they want to dedicate themselves to.
