Description

We are looking for a volunteer to support activities carried out at the Chełm Neighborhood Club run by the Nova Foundation in Gdańsk. It is active organization which aim is to activate local community. Support in running the Neighborhood Club, in particular: • animation, activation and integration of the local community, • recruiting participants for classes at a neighborhood club, including via the Evenea portal • organization of classes, workshops and events, including: Backyard games, flea markets, festivals • promoting and conducting information activities about the Neighborhood Club (preparing leaflets, posters, information and educational materials) • own ideas

Accommodation, food and transport arrangements

You will leave in a shared apartment together with other international volunteers, shared 2 volunteers in the room. The flat is equipped with the most necessary things. You will receive a monthly city card for buses and trams, to travel from home to kindergarten. We will provide You with the pocket money, food allowance and reimbursement of travel to/from Gdańsk (due to Erasmus distance calculator). Organization – Fundacja NOVA and Chełm Neighborhood Club is located in Chełm district with good transportation. Project will be coordinated by Regional Volunteer Centre in Gdańsk.

Training during the activity

Before coming, volunteer will receive support in preparation and Pre-departure training from supporting organization (home country organization). After arriving, volunteer will have support of kindergarten stuff to be introduced into the activities of the kindergarten. During the project, volunteer can take part in 2 training sessions (depends on the duration of mobility): 1. ON ARRIVAL - to find out more about volunteering in Poland 2. MID TERM - to evaluate achievements There will be organized evaluation meetings each 1-2 month in the office of RCWG.

Participant profile

Our projects are generally open to young people who want to become volunteers. Previous work experience and qualifications (especially in kids animation or in contact with seniors) may be useful but not necessary. We are looking for dynamic, creative, sociable, responsible and patient people. You should also be keen to work with different target groups especially seniors and kids. Participants MUST be interested in working in VOLUNTARY FIELD. Knowledge of Canva, Adobe, Google Ads, photography is an asset. As volunteers will also conduct activities for kids we search for candidates without criminal records and addictions. Due to Polish Law volunteer will need to have certificate of no criminal record from his National Criminal Register.
