"Haus Hopa" - Youth Residence for Unaccompanied Minor Refugees

Description
Since 2023, the new facility "Haus Hopa" has been located in Bremen and offers 15 places for young refugees in a modern and homely atmosphere. All the young people have their own rooms - they cook and eat together, with the support of the housekeeper and the educational staff. In addition to organising everyday life together and providing support with daily challenges, our professionals organise leisure activities, excursions and opportunities for participation for the residents. Our goal is to promote their independence.
Accommodation, food and transport arrangements
You will live in a shared flat in Bremen (a city in the Northern part of Germany) with one other ESC-volunteer (m/f/d), approx. 30 minutes with local transportation from your working place. You will have your own room and a shared kitchen, bathroom an balcony. A ticket for local transportation will be paid for. The part of twon where you will be living is called "Gröpelingen" and it is a very lively quarter with a lot of restaurants and shops. You will get money for your food expenses (300,00 €/per month) and also a pocketmoney of 7,00 € per day.
