Description
The project promotes volunteerism, EU Values, NGO activities, social economy entities, and institutions in Leszno, including schools and socially responsible companies. It supports European Solidarity Corps (ESC) initiatives and organizes workshops on creativity, DIY projects, and handcrafts for youth clubs. Participants will participate in a festival organized by the city Hall which involves activities for children, adolescents, and seniors. Volunteers will also deliver cultural presentations, engage with students in schools and high schools, and participate in youth camps, facilitating language games, cultural exchanges, and workshops on tradition, sports, and arts. Working alongside a diverse, multinational team, this opportunity allows participants to share and promote their cultures. Join us!
Accommodation, food and transport arrangements
Volunteers will get, Pocket money and Food allowance as per ESC Guide (2024), insurance provided from Henner Insurance. They will be accommodated in a shared accommodation with all facilities provided. Volunteers will be Reimbursed or covered for local transport when used for work, as for Reimbursement for travel tickets will be reimbursed according to ESC and Erasmus Guide. We encourage participants to travel GREEN with more days to travel and a higher travel limit.
Training during the activity
During the initiation of the project, there will be an Adaptation Week. This period will provide an opportunity to collaborate with an international team, with English as the working language, and an introduction to the Polish language. Participants will develop the ability to engage in conversations in multiple languages. There will be Mentoring session provided to work on Inclusion in Teams Projects, Diversity in personalities and Emotion and meditation. Upon the completion of the mobility program, participants will receive a Youth Pass / ESC Volunteer Diploma.
Participant profile
The participants should be team-oriented, social, and have a good level in English, thriving in multicultural settings. They are creative, proactive, and adaptable, eager to share their culture and embrace others. With strong interpersonal skills, they excel in engaging diverse groups, from children to seniors. Passionate about solidarity, they bring enthusiasm and initiative to workshops, teamwork, and community impact.
