Description

Support the office in aligning existing communication strategies: marketing and awareness-raising, develop and produce information materials and documents to promote ACF’s programs and activities, contribute to the development of ACF’s website and use social media tools in communication, support the organization of press conferences or other special events, etc. Support communication and visibility of regional and country activities: support in communication activities at national level, feedback information and communication outputs from national level to regional level. Reinforce the visibility of the West Africa Regional Office: develop communications products and disseminate to external partners, create and maintain a website dedicated to the West Africa Office, etc. Ensure the continuity of the Regional Office’s communications activities: capitalize on the Regional Office’s events and communication products. Communication and awareness on ESC Aid Volunteers Initiative.

Accommodation, food and transport arrangements

Accommodation, travel costs, visa, pre-deployment medical check + vaccinations (only if mandatory for the country), allowance will be covered. In case of need, a Fewer Opportunities Support will also be covered. A monthly Subsistence Lump Sum will be provided to cover basic needs such as food and personal hygiene items.

Training during the activity

Training during deployment will also be offered to improve the volunteer’s skills and competences.

Participant profile

Master's degree in communication, social sciences and/or any other field related to communication. English and French. Writing and communication, Analysis, networking, Conception and drafting of documents, IT knowledge (Pack Office). Specific technical knowledge: Proven knowledge of the media and journalists in Senegal and West Africa. Knowledge of the regional context, key stakeholders and events and opportunities in nutrition and food security. Proficiency in Microsoft Office (excel, word, outlook), Adobe InDesign and Illustrator. Experience in video and photo production highly desirable.
