Description
Volunteers will participate in setting up different activities for the general public, parents and children with whom we work on a daily basis: - Setting up workshops to support children and young people in the development of their skills - Implementing various intercultural workshops for parents and young people - Organize information meetings on existing educational mobility schemes for young people - Organize testimonial and experience-sharing events related to European and international mobility. Also, time will be reserved for the volunteers to give them room to think about their future projects and analyze the needs of the local communities and public that they have observed. They will thus have the opportunity to propose new activities, actions or events
Accommodation, food and transport arrangements
Accomodation: The volunteer will live with other volunteers in collocation. The place will be accessible from the places of activities and office of the hosting organisation. Allowance: In addition to the pocket money given each month to the volunteers (around 180 euros), a monthly allowance will be given to the volunteers in order for them to pay for their food. Transports: The hosting organisation will give volunteers monthly subscription to local transports for the Center of Martinique
Participant profile
The main caracteristics for the volunteer are: - Motivation to fully participate to the activities. - Flexibility and openness to discover a completely new and different culture and ability to adapt to a new situation. - Be ready to travel miles away from home for 6 months. Not mandatory but it would be better for the volunteer to have a few bases in French (or motivation to fully learn and improve in French) to facilitate the integration at local level.
