These young people are between the ages of 16 and 25, no longer in school. Those young people seem more vulnerable as they are often less qualified and more distant from sustainable employment. The Mission Locale has many different offers and domains to support them in finding their way . In connection with other volunteers in Civic Service, he orshe will be led to:promote local and international mobility and participate in the preparation of mobility projects (holidays, internships...)-support young people during and after their projets abroad (editing of personal ‘portraits’regular check-up with young people abroad)-organise and take part in activities for young people at the Mission Locale (sports, events...) -Participate to a collective project with others volunteers
Accommodation, food and transport arrangements
The volunteer will be accomodated in a colocation in Fougères. A single room and sharedbathroom and kitchen will be provided. The volunteer will receive pocket money plus money forcovering the food expenses. The international travel expenses will be reimbursed on the basisdefined by the European Commission. Regarding transport arrangement, bicycles will beavailable, and a monthly bus transport card (Fougères-Rennes) will also be provided.
Training during the activity
The volunteer will take part in an on-arrival training and mid-term evaluation organised bythe National Agency. Additionally, the Mission locale works with the youth centres in Fougèresand the Social Centre, which offer leisure activities for young people. The volunteer willparticipate if he/she wishes. Our city has a rich associative sports and cultural fabric,depending on the interests of the youth, a membership will be realized.
Participant profile
No special prerequisites or skills are required for the volunteer the Mission Locale we wish to host. We want to focus on the wishes and interests of the volunteer to enable him/her to develop new skills during his/her volunteering. We will evaluate the meaning of this European mobility experience in connection with the youth’s life (social and professional) project. We would like to recruit a volunteer who has an open mind, is attentive and dynamic and has an interest in animation and social intervention. Basic in french could be a plus.
