Description
CGE Erfurt e.V. is a non-profit non-governmental organisation running multiple large-scale international projects, across Europe and the globe. Our projects work with local activists, migrant communities, NGOs and informal initiatives. Our offices are located in Erfurt, Weimar, Halle, one of which is a revived socio-cultural hub where artists and initiatives found their space. We look forward to welcoming young professionals, eager to engage with intercultural environment, put their knowledge to practice and create innovative solutions for better impact. We are currently looking for one person to fill in the spot in the team in Erfurt, focusing on research methods in local communtiy.
Accommodation, food and transport arrangements
All volunteers in CGE are be accommodated in a comfortable, fully equipped shared flat, located 5 min away from the city center. The food allowance is given to the volunteers every month, based on the ESC regulations. A volunteer is provided with a local transportation ticket. Mentor support is provided by former ESC volunteers, as well as ex-colleagues.
Training during the activity
Learning-by-doing is core principle of CGE work culture. High emphasis is put on team work and co-creation during the conceptualisation and implementation of activities. The volunteers are assigned to project teams and support activities in various stages. Though the year, the volunteers will be able to attend extrenal local and national trainings to boost their skills and competences.
Participant profile
We are looking for one person to join the team with a background in social sciences or management, preferably experience in non-formal education (Erasmus+, international mobilities) or community building. The volunteer is expected to support the team in conceptualising, preparing and implementing local actions, data collection, working with stakeholders and with target groups (youth, migrant and rural communties). This is an opportunity to collect professional and personal experiences, by supporting project managers, and building solidarity at the local, EU and global level.
