Description

Discover yourself in Wroclaw, the city of one hundred bridges, each one leading you to new adventures. Join us this summer at Czasoprzestrzen, a formerly abandoned tram depot we are transforming into a cultural and social center. We host music festivals, cultural exhibitions and art fairs featuring artists and musicians from all over Europe. Together we will work to create an event for the youth of the city which will be about self identity. In addition to helping the community, you will be pushed out of your comfort zone with workshops and training covering topics such as self discovery, EU values, collaboration skills, arts, and ecology that are designed to help you to grow as a person. We will help you identify and build on your strengths while expanding your sense of European values and give you the chance to make new friends from across Europe so that you may leave here more confident and prepared to navigate a beautiful and multicultural world.

Accommodation, food and transport arrangements

The volunteers will be provided with accommodations that could either consist in shared rooms, in a dormitory. They should be ready to share the living spaces with others. Each volunteer will also receive food allowance and pocket money in polish currency (Zloty) which will be detailed in the activity agreement. The travel tickets to Poland will be advanced by the volunteer and reimbursed by the organization after their arrival in Wroclaw under the presentation of documents (tickets, boarding pass invoices, etc.). All volunteers are covered by CIGNA - European type insurance.

Training during the activity

The project will emphasize workshops and trainings designed to help volunteers develop a stronger sense of self and place in the European Union. We will teach volunteers how to organize an event and exhibitions and how to work together to become a cohesive group that can overcome cultural barriers. They will experience non-formal and informal education through training and gain practical, environmental, social and sustainability skills. Overall, they will develop their personal and professional competences.

Participant profile

For this project, we encourage the participation of everyone. We are looking for people between 18 and 30 years old, open-minded, eager to learn and motivated to work on the proposed project activities. The volunteers should be motivated to work with people in a non-formal education context. The participants should like to develop and improve their skills and abilities, be open for experiments, have some hobbies and like to share them when organizing activities.
