Description
"La forêt du Je Libre" is a non profit organisation founded in 2017 in order to create and manage the first forest kindergarten in France, called l'École en Forêt de Marsac. The school is located on the Domaine de Chantemerle, a private, ecologically renovated and farm, where it has access to 30ha of forests and fields. We focus on outdoor learning responsive to each child's interests, strengths, and needs, in order to equip them to make the world of tomorrow. Mission : *interact with the children in your language, share your culture *hosting the 'morning circle', play games in the classroom in the afternoons *host nature and other activities (setting up wildlife cameras, identifying animals, building a hut) *help the educational team to organize work and activities *help to create content for our website, facebook and other social media *support the work of the association https://ecole-foret.fr/wp-content/uploads/2020/08/reglement-interieur-maternelle-en-foret-2020-2021.pdf
Accommodation, food and transport arrangements
Transport return travel costs are covered within the limits of the reimbursement grids of Europe and according to the distances in kilometres. We encourage and appreciate green travel (train, bus...) *Everyone brings their own lunch to school *The accommodation will be located in Angoulême (host family or shared, rented flat). Buses and bikes are available to volunteers to travel to Angoulême and around *Allowance: the monthly allowance of the ESC in France it is 510€/month: 300€ for life on site and 210€ for pocket money *Insurance: an international insurance is taken in charge by the ESC.
Training during the activity
Volunteers will take part in the arrival and mid-term seminars organised by the National Agency. La Forêt du Je Libre will develop individual projects with you, and ensure that you acquire a wide range of experience and new skills. The activities of the association are very diverse, so there is plenty of scope for getting involved outside of school time. Language courses: online language courses are offered free of charge to volunteers. You will also have a support organisation in your country to keep in touch with your home country.
Participant profile
We are looking for a volunteer between 24 and 30 years old who speaks English, German, Italian or Spanish, to join the educational team on a daily basis in order to share his culture and language in playful manner. This is a flexible position, which can evolve according to your interests. You enjoy being mostly outside in nature - during all seasons, spending time with young children and helping them grow up, enjoy communicating and working in a small close-knit team.
