’Associazione T.E.SO.RI.,founded in 2008 in Asti, is aimed at young people who want to volunteer in the social and environmental sustainability fields. The method is that of learning by doing, with guided life experiences. Ass. Tesori is willing to welcome 2 volunteers, between 6 up to 9 months, in Casa Martino 1 Community Shelter in the countryside of Asti for mothers and children. The volunteers will be involved in different activities, always carried out with guests and under the supervision of an operator: DAILY CARE: Prepare meals, clean, maintain the house, process agricultural products, organize clothing, accompany guests, support our other communities on special occasions. Organize walks, outings, workshops, parties, holiday groups, assist with homework, language mediation. AUTONOMY: Plan and conduct an activity in the project's second half. Accommodation, food and transport arrangements
Food, accomodation, health insurance and pocket money are provided by European Solidarity Corps Program. The volunteers will stay in a private apartment adjacent to the community. The accommodation has a fully equipped kitchen (food is provided weekly by the Association through collective food shopping), a living room and bathroom, and they will have a double room. You will have bikes and bus tickets when needed. On duty the volunteers will have a common lunch with the operators and guests.
Training during the activity
For the first half of the project: learning the language, getting to know each other, reworking individual expectations, resources and limits, getting to know the local area and culture. For the second half: achieving greater security (in the service and in the area), knowledge of local peculiarities including cultural ones, planning own activity with users. Finalisation of Youthpass and assessment of output competences. Participate in regular training meetings (mentoring and tutoring meetings, specific training, association volunteer training, meetings, audits, CSVAA volunteer training, etc)

Associazione Tesori truly believes in the power of volunteering projects, as a meaningful help to implement and expand the residential services offered, to the benefit of the guests, the host organisation, the local community, the social services and the volunteer himself. Associazione Tesori is looking forward to welcome 2 young people motivated and curios to experiment a real, sober and simple community life, who love children and multiculturalism, with open minded to embrace different ways of living and that can bring fresh perspectives to the activities.
