Early childhood education and care in the context of inclusion

CVJM Göttingen e.V.

Göttingen, Germany

Description

We are looking for responsible, team-oriented young people who can get involved with small children aged 0-3 and their needs and who want to help shape the care of our youngest children. Two of the children have special needs. You will play, design, bake, exercise and organize parties with a professional team. From 7.30 a.m. to 2.30 p.m. we look after the children and give them a great time to discover the world, grow together as a group and convey social and Christian values. Learn German together with the children. Our group is diverse and consists of children from different social and cultural backgrounds, as well as an ESC volunteer, a professional team and interns. We also carry out projects in which we train new volunteers. The biggest and most entertaining projects you can get involved in are the seasonal camps for children aged 6 and over and teenagers. WRITE A PERSONAL EMAIL TO US! volunteers@cvjm-goettingen.de

Accommodation, food and transport arrangements

The YMCA has a shared flat for the volunteers. The house is located near the station and 15 minutes by bike to YMCA. Göttingen is quite a small town where you can go everywhere by bycicle. YMCA will afford the bikes for the volunteers. Lunch is eaten together with the children. For all other meals outside of work, food allowance is paid in addition to pocket money. The travel costs are reimbursed by the YMCA. HAVE A LOOK HERE: https://www.cvjm-goettingen.de/volontaere.html

Participant profile

We are looking for volunteers who are willing to learn German, be flexible, creative, social and responsible. We work with very young children and their parents. Therefore, we want empathy and good communication and coordination within the team. You should actively accompany the children and also seek contact with the parents. For the programs for older children and young people, we also need active volunteers who are really involved in youth work and organize events, camps and projects.
