Description
Place #1: The volunteer who will cover this place will support our local teams of volleyball in daily trainings. The target groups are children 6-14 years old. The volunteer will be responsible for helping the trainers in organizing and playing warm–up games before the main training, helping to split in teams, help with balls and other equipments. Place #2: Taking care of green areas of Nea Moudania, planting new trees, watering, pulling weeds, fertilizing, organising ecological workshops for kids. The volunteer selected for this place will cooperate with a volunteering team of the local gardeners who take care of the environment, as well as teachers from “Big Bang School”. Both volunteers will be more than welcome to organize their own local activities and personal projects - THE MORE CREATIVE, THE BETTER! Accommodation, food and transport arrangements
Travel cost reimbursement: The nearest airport is Thessaloniki-Makedonia Airport (SKG). Volunteers will be reimbursed for their tickets (airplane, train, bus), both ways, according to the EU Distance Calculator. Accommodation: Volunteers will stay in fully equipped apartment near the centre. The flat has 2 bedrooms, bathroom, living room and kitchen. We also provide Wi-Fi connection. Food & Pocket money: Volunteers will be receiving 140 EUR per month for food and 6 EUR per day as pocket money.
Training during the activity
Volunteers will take part in "On-Arrival Training" and "Mid-Term Training" organized by the National Agency. Additionally there will be internal trainings if need for any position.
Participant profile
We are looking for 2 motivated and enthusiastic volunteers with skills for required available places, aged between 18-30 years old. We like responsible, dedicated people, able to work in team and co-operate, willing to take initiatives and share their experiences and ideas!
