Description

Haabersti Youth Centre is hosting 1 volunteer from September 2024-May 2025 (9 months) with a possibility to extend the volunteering until August 2025. Haabersti Youth Centre (suborganisation of Haabersti Leisure Centre) has been open for 20 years and in this time, it has become a community centre, which offers a safe environment for the youth for purposeful activities during their free time. The volunteer is expected to take part in all the activities that the youth centre is running (eg free hobby clubs in a week: cooking class, art class, crafts class, quiz class). * Haabersti is one of the 8 districts of Tallinn, the capital of Estonia. Haabersti has a population of 49 406 people. * The leading organisation of this project is NGO Continuous Action. Accommodation, food and transport arrangements

Accommodation and local transport: Volunteer is living in a shared household (sharing the living space with other volunteers). The local transport is organised. International transport: The travel grant depends on a travelled distance and can be 275€ / 360€ or 530€ for round tickets. Visa costs and other exceptional cost are covered up to real costs based on justification (if needed and applicable). Pocket money: According to ESC programme guide, the financial support is 5eur/per day in Estonia. Food Money: volunteer receives 7eur/per day to cover his/her food costs.

Training during the activity

Volunteer is attending at on-arrival training and mid-term training organised by Estonian National Agency. In addition volunteer is supported before mobility by support organisation in her/his home country and will also take part in local orientation in host organisation.

Participant profile

Volunteer with a level of English language ability, interest and willingness to work in this field. Openness to integrate into new culture. No extra experience required, but having it is an advantage.
