Description
The host organization is a kindergarten in Kadaň. This project aims to involve young people in valuable volunteering experiences, offering opportunities for personal growth and competency development. It encourages creative expression and fosters intercultural dialogue within the local community. As a volunteer you will be involved in various educational programs such as teaching English through play, fostering intuitive creativity with arts and crafts, and assisting teachers with daily learning schedules. This role offers an opportunity to contribute to children's development in a nurturing environment, promoting both learning and creativity through engaging activities.
Accommodation, food and transport arrangements
You will be accommodated in a fully equipped apartment in the city (10 minutes walk from the organization) with separate room for each volunteer, shared kitchen, bathroom and toilet, Wi-Fi. You will receive monthly allowance as pocket money and food money. The organization can provide a laptop and a mobile phone with a CZ SIM card. The travel from Italy to Czech Republic and back is fully reimbursed. An insurance company will protect you from any risk.
Training during the activity
You'll attend 3 official training sessions: a pre-departure one before leaving Italy, an on arrival one a few weeks after your advent in Czech Republic and a third one at around half of your volunteering. You'll be also provided with course of Czech. An individual learning plan including personal goals and objectives will be drawn up with the coordinator and you will have the opportunity to take part in educational and leisure activities within the organisation (language courses, arts, sports, etc.).
Participant profile
As an ideal volunteer, you should be open to new ideas and perspectives, enthusiastic about engaging in various tasks such as leisure activities and workshop preparation, and collaborative with strong teamwork skills. You should also have a good command of English for effective communication. It is important to be genuinely motivated to work with young people and have the ability to inspire and motivate them. Alternatively, you should have a positive approach to working with children.
