ASOCIACIÓN AURYN
ASOCIACIÓN VALPONASCA
LEÓN, Spain
Description
Valponasca Association was founded in 2003 in León and its scope of action is national (Community of Madrid and Castilla y León). Our mission is to provide answers to the personal and social needs of groups at risk of social exclusion, with special attention to children, youth, families, immigrants and women. The daily activities are carried out in the socio-educational area and in the area of labour insertion, through programmes aimed at different target groups.
Accommodation, food and transport arrangements
The Coordinating Organization (Asociación Auryn) will provide an apartment appropriated for the basic needs of the whole volunteering team. They will share an appartment with two other volunteers. Additionally, we’ll provide a weekly allowance for food for each volunteer. Apart from covering the apartment and the allowance, the European Solidarity Corps Project provides a quantity as pocket money for the volunteers to use for their own expenses. The apartment is close to Alzheimer's Center and to the city center, so transport is not needed.
Training during the activity
The volunteer will attend the On-arrival Training and the Mid-Term Evaluation that are organized by the National Agency. In this trainings it is possible to meet other European volunteers who carry out their projects in different places in Spain. In addition, we will provide free Spanish classes. The host entity will provide, free of charge, the training that the volunteer may need to perform their tasks correctly
