As part of the European Capital of Culture, many projects are being realised by so-called Bidbook partners. Theatres, associations, initiatives and other cultural organisations implement small and large projects in the areas of sport, music, crafts, literature, dance, neighbourhood, democracy and diversity. Based on the diversity programme of the Capital of Culture, you can help shape many of these projects by supporting the project managament. You will not only get to know different parts of the city but also many creative people who would like to work with you and your international perspective.
Accommodation, food and transport arrangements
-Accomodation in Zwickau or Chemnitz/ Saxony/Germany - hostel/flats -Self care board -transfer from the airport to the hostel and back, regional transfer -Organizing from seminars, weekend acitivities, language support -payment of pocket money and board money
Training during the activity
There is also a training programme as part of our volunteer programme. This is open to ESC participants. In addition to the extensive programme of the European Capital of Culture, first aid training, voice training, de-escalation training, awareness and teamwork are also offered. In addition, ESC participants will receive a clear introduction to their specific areas of responsibility and can expand their skills in co-operation with our colleagues and professional partners.
Participant profile
You should be curious about many different projects with many different cultures and stand up for diversity, variety and the equal treatment of all people. You will support several small projects that promote these values. Knowledge of communication, organising events, knowledge of social media or graphic design or even some technical experience, for example in transport and logistics, will help us. A general interest in arts, culture, music, theatre, sports, sustainability, creativitiy or similar things would be great.
