Description
Radi Vidi Pats aim is to promote sustainable development of Latvian society, cultural and environmental education through lifelong learning of young people and adults, as well as participation in social processes. We have 19 years of experience in coordinating projects and now we collaborate with other organizations to make long-term projects. A volunteer can also participate in our activities and visit our volunteers in other cities. The volunteer will work with a team of Liepaja State Technical School: Work with the youth council to prepare activities Share culture through cooking, dances etc. A volunteer is encouraged to create activities according to their interests and level of skills. We will have weekly and monthly meetings to keep track of the activity of the volunteers in the organisation and help them carry out their projects. Accommodation, food and transport arrangements
The project offers 5€ per day as individual support and 160-200€ per month for food, depending on where the volunteer wants to live - dormitory or apartment. A volunteer will have the opportunity to use bicycles to move around the city. In case bicycles are not possible to use, an organisation will provide monthly tickets for the bus.
Training during the activity
The volunteer will attend an on-arrival training and midterm training organized by the Latvian National Agency (JSPA) and have the opportunity to apply to participate in other trainings appropriate to the project. Learning and practising the Latvian language during the project will be possible. Also, a volunteer can participate in Radi Vidi Pats activities.
Participant profile
Volunteer must be from 18 to 30 years old. Flexible, independent, committed, able to communicate in English (basic level), initiative, ready to get out of the comfort zone, etc. Skills in making events are appreciated We have a preference place for Ukrainians and those who like "green" travel by bus and train. We are accepting people from rural, marginalised areas.
