Description
The Cultural Association "Transeúnte" functions as an inclusive collective space that welcomes people of all age groups, although its primary focus has shifted towards a vibrant network of local youth who find their creative "home" in Transeúnte. Volunteers will participate in all aspects of managing the activities of an association, including planning and administrative work, project development and management, research, development and creation of shows and works, event and festival organization, promotion, technical assistance, teaching, and performances. Our goal is to create an environment where volunteers have the freedom to develop and implement their ideas, which helps teach responsibility and management skills. They are guided through the process by a manager or mentor who gives them the freedom to carry out their ideas while holding them accountable for their work. In our experience, this helps shape more responsible, independent, and satisfied cultural managers.
Accommodation, food and transport arrangements
Accommodation will be provided in a shared apartment in Malagón, where volunteers will have their own individual room, while the bathroom and kitchen will be common areas. Throughout the mission, volunteers will receive money for personal expenses and food according to the mission overview. The hosting organization will ensure that volunteers have access to the public transport network in the area.
Training during the activity
Spanish classes, and as part of their volunteer work, they will be able to take part in our artistic training courses to broaden their skills in painting, dance and/or theater.
Participant profile
We are looking for young people from the European Union and third countries members of the ESC program with the following characteristics: - Age between 18 and 30 years old. - Interest in the project themes. - Good communication skills, responsibility, proactivity, and interest in the European Solidarity Corps program, recognizing the value of being part of a project like this. - Priority will be given to young people with fewer opportunities. - Possess a strong motivation for the activity to be carried out and be sure of the role of cultural exchanges. - Any art-related skills will be a plus. - Be willing to participate in all the activities that are proposed.
