“The Maison de la Jeunesse et de la Culture (MJC) in L'Aigle, Normandy, is an association : - promote access to culture for all, and in particular for those who are furthest away from it. - Support young people in their practices and the implementation of projects. - Organize events to help people meet and live together better. - Give a voice to as many people as possible with our radio station Kolectiv'. - Promote healthy lifestyles. We offer two missions with a common base: - Contribute to the dissemination of European citizenship - To produce radio programs with other volunteers. - Help organize the team volunteering (June 27 - July 11, 2024). One of the two complementary missions is to promote healthy lifestyles: - Sports sessions with our professional and different audiences (refugees, mentally handicapped, seniors, school dropouts ...) The other mission is to organize MJC events, in particular those designed to promote living together (carrefour jeunesse #TousUnis

Accommodation, food and transport arrangements

Volunteers are housed in an apartment with three separate bedrooms, kitchen and shared living space. It's a shared accommodation with 2 other volunteers. The association provides a financial package so that the volunteer can manage their food and pocket money. A bicycle is made available for travel in our small town. If the volunteer has the license, he can use the MJC car for missions. we favor green transport.

Training during the activity

We offer the volunteer a time of discovery: environment, team members, partners, etc. The volunteer is trained in animation and radio technique. We have similar possibilities in videos, animations and sports. we are sensitive to citizen training.

Participant profile

Our priority is to ensure that the volunteer is motivated, eager to learn, to create, to do, to give... Skills in organization, autonomy and teamwork are welcome. An interest in promoting access to culture for people far removed from traditional practices. Basic knowledge of the French language is a plus.
