Description

Urspring School in Southern Germany is committed to realizing its educational mission as a unity of living, learning and teaching in a shared life, promoting specialist knowledge, humanity and creative powers in equal measure. As a private school, we see ourselves as a service provider, promoter and mentor. Our task is to support children and young people in developing their individual life skills. We understand this to mean the entirety of their cognitive, emotional, methodological and social potential, which young people develop in order to be able to shape their present and future lives in a meaningful and active way. Around 270 pupils (130 of them at the boarding school, the rest as day pupils) aged between 8 and 20 from various backgrounds live and learn at Urspring School, in class sizes of around 16 children. Our private school is located in the quiet and relaxed atmosphere of the village of Schelklingen in a former monasty which now is a place of communal living and learning.
