Description
CPMGA is an institution that has been working for 40 years in the city of El Alto. Our mission is to reach a more inclusive Bolivia in which women and men live in equity and equality. Our work seeks to return to the territory, fight for women’s rights, democracy within a non-hegemonic feminist perspective and action, leaning towards joint construction and broad openness to women’s dialogues. Part of the actions we carry out are oriented towards political and social advocacy, which is why we have undertaken to implement an ‘educational-communication’ strategy to strengthen the issues prioritised by the organisation in its four strategic lines of work: L1: Life free from violence L2: Economic autonomy L3: Women demand their rights and L4: Sexual and reproductive rights.
Accommodation, food and transport arrangements
For security reasons and to guarantee access to transportation, food, health and other services, markets and supermarkets, it has been determined that the accommodation will be located in a safe central central area of the city of La Paz, either in Sopocachi or Miraflores.
Training during the activity
During the volunteering period, you will be supported and guided in the development of communication materials and learn about the strategic campaigns we are working on. - You will learn about the application of the gender of feminist approach in the city of El Alto and surrounding municipalities. - You will have the opportunity to exchange costums and knowledge with women and youth of the city of El Alto, Viacha, Pucarani,
Participant profile
- Professional in communication sciences - Postgraduate degree in Communication for development (desirable) - Knowledge of professional photography - Writing, editing and copy-editing skills for print and social media materials - Experience in social media management - Experience or knowledge in the development of podcasts. Activities: - Support in the implementation of the strategic lines of the CPMGA’s Triennial Plan 2021-2023 and the extension period to 2025, going from the creation of content about the work of CPMGA addressing the four strategic objectives: Life free from violence, economic autonomy, women demand their rights, sexual and reproductive rights. - Support in the implementation the Feminist Communicational CPMGA and Radio Pachamama strategy. - Development of communication materials regarding the topics of the Reflection center. - Taking professional photographs and elaboration photographic memories by line of work. - Develop diverse actions to promote the digital activism of young people
