Description

Eveho (Hosting Organization) and La Víbria Intercultural (Coordinating organization) are looking for 2 volunteer to help in the daily task of the CRAE (Education Action Residential Centre) Pere Quart, a comprehensive residential service for the care of children and tenagers under the guardianship of the Catalan Goverment. Pere Quart have a capacity of attention and care of 36 places and its structure is vertical and mixed; something that allows the reception, in its majority, of groups of brothers, sisters and/or, even cousins. These are the usual tasks of this volunteer position: Accompaniment of children in schools and extracurricular activities Support in daily tasks and educational activities. Support in school reinforcement spaces. Participation/promotion of recreational and cultural activities. Promotion of physical activity and health benefits. The position will be in CRAE Pere Quart, which is located in the city of Mataró.

Accommodation, food and transport arrangements

You will live in a fully equipped apartment in Mataró or the surrounding provinces, shared with other ESC volunteers. Some rooms are single, others shared. The apartment will be well connected by public transport to the centre where you will work. Working hours: 25 hours per week, Monday to Friday or Thursday to Sunday. The schedule has not yet been set, but the volunteer should be flexible in the schedules. There will be one placement for each of the shifts (Mon-Fri or Thu-Sun). Pocket and food money: 330€/month + Monthly transport cards will be offered

Training during the activity

- Spanish ONLINE classes - Welcome sessions that will be held with all volunteers in the association La Víbria Intercultural - On Arrival Training and Mid-Term Evaluation provided by the Spanish National Agency

Participant profile

We are looking for a person who is: - respectful with children and teenagers - patient, flexible and empathetic - capable of keeping private information from others - wishing to work as a team - keen to provide his/her knowledge Previous experiences with infants and adolescents, skills in stress situations and conflict management will be positively valued.
