Conservatorio di Musica 'Claudio Monteverdi' di Cremona

CREMONA, Italy

Description

Music Over Europe is a 12-month project at the Monteverdi Conservatory in Cremona, starting in October. As a volunteer, you'll assist with organizing concerts and events, managing audio and video production, and promoting these activities through social media and the website. You’ll also help with communication between international students and staff and take part in high-profile events like Cremona Mondomusica. This role includes supporting administrative tasks such as mailing lists and logistics for music seminars. The Conservatory is a world-renowned institution located in a culturally rich city. Accommodation, food and transport arrangements

Volunteers will be provided with fully equipped shared apartments located in the city center, within close proximity to the volunteering site. A monthly food allowance will be provided, and each volunteer will receive a personal bicycle for getting around town. Travel expenses will be covered, with a preference for environmentally friendly travel options. To support their integration and activities, volunteers will have the guidance of a tutor and mentor, while a project coordinator will oversee the overall management of the project.

Training during the activity

Each project includes On Arrival Training (OAT) and Mid Term Evaluation (MTE) organized by the Italian National Agency. These sessions provide specific training on the project’s activities, alongside learning paths designed to help volunteers discover, understand, and recognize their personal skills, aptitudes, and competences. Volunteers will also have access to online language support to learn Italian through the EU Academy platform (https://academy.europa.eu/). At the end of the service, all volunteers will receive a Youthpass certificate, documenting their achievements.

Participant profile

We are looking for volunteers who are dynamic, creative, communicative, sociable, and patient. Ideal candidates should be highly motivated, eager to learn Italian, and comfortable working in a team. Flexibility and creativity are essential, as we value volunteers with unique hobbies, original ideas, and openness to different cultures. We welcome individuals with a strong drive to explore new experiences, curiosity about the world, and an interest in learning from diverse cultures. Those who are proactive, passionate and dedicate to music will excell in this role.
