Description

Solidarity Culture is a 12-month project at CSV Lombardia Sud, starting in October. Volunteers will work to promote volunteering, engage in environmental sustainability initiatives, and create multimedia content to raise awareness about various causes. You’ll help organize events such as the Volunteering Festival and contribute to research on best practices in European volunteering. CSV Lombardia Sud operates across several cities, fostering social development through community engagement. Accommodation, food and transport arrangements

Volunteers will be provided with fully equipped shared apartments located in the city center, within close proximity to the volunteering site. A monthly food allowance will be provided, and each volunteer will receive a personal bicycle for getting around town. Travel expenses will be covered, with a preference for environmentally friendly travel options. To support their integration and activities, volunteers will have the guidance of a tutor and mentor, while a project coordinator will oversee the overall management of the project.

Training during the activity

Each project includes On Arrival Training (OAT) and Mid Term Evaluation (MTE) organized by the Italian National Agency. These sessions provide specific training on the project’s activities, alongside learning paths designed to help volunteers discover, understand, and recognize their personal skills, aptitudes, and competences. Volunteers will also have access to online language support to learn Italian through the EU Academy platform (https://academy.europa.eu/). At the end of the service, all volunteers will receive a Youthpass certificate, documenting their achievements

Participant profile

We are looking for volunteers who are dynamic, creative, communicative, sociable, and patient. Ideal candidates should be highly motivated, eager to learn Italian, and comfortable working in a team. Flexibility and creativity are essential, as we value volunteers with unique hobbies, original ideas, and openness to different cultures. We welcome individuals with a strong drive to explore new experiences, curiosity about the world, and an interest in learning from diverse cultures.
