Description

The volunteers will work in a team of 3 supporting the work that the organization Europe4Youth do in Rabka-Zdroj by: 1. Taking shifts in Kefirek, our local youth center in Rabka 2. Supporting the work we do in ReZone, our international mobilities center where multiple Erasmus+ and ESC activities are hosted 3. Mentoring for short period volunteers who will be hosted in the same Town but stay there only for 1 month. Volunteers in Rabka have a vital role in the organization everyday life, while living in the calm and charming Rabka-Zdroj they will have the chance of get formed as Youth workers and be an example for the many young people living and joining mobility in this small city in the south of Poland. They will also have the possibility to collaborate with the team of volunteers in Krakow while sharing ideas and good practices for workshops and activity they will organize based on their passions and hobbies

Accommodation, food and transport arrangements

The volunteers will be hosted in a house with 2 rooms, a double and a single room, divided based on gender distribution of the team, with 1 bathroom Kitchen and living room. The volunteers will recieve food and pocket money monthly at the start of every month of volunteering as well as get reimbursed for any expense incourred in travelling to the destination of volunteering. Any expense related to the house will also be covered by the organization if major items are missing or need to be replaced

Training during the activity

The volunteers will have access to OLS language course to try to learn some Polish. The volunteers will take part in the On arrival and Mid term trainings organized by the National agency of Poland. Europe4youth will form the volunteers by holding workshops to learn about Youth work and facilitation, while, at the same time, provide day to day Tutoring and mentoring to support their experience in Poland.

Participant profile

Motivated and engaged young people from 18 to 30 years old with a basic understanding of english. No specific studies required, but we ask our volunteers to be proactive and engaged enough to come up with ideas and share their passion and hobbies trough workshops and activities. No specific knowledge is required as Europe4youth will provide with all the preparation needed to takle the world of Youth Work in the first part of the volunteering experience.
