Description

The Foundation for the Adaptation and Development of Bilingual Children and Youth Bilingwo is based in Poznań, and is dedicated to supporting the unique needs of bilingual children and young people from Ukraine and Belarus, particularly those with migratory experiences. Our mission is to foster integration, cultural exchange, and personal development while celebrating linguistic diversity. Bilingwo organizes various projects and events aimed at children aged 3–12 and their families. These initiatives include workshops, cultural activities, and educational programs that help children navigate the challenges of adapting to a new environment. Volunteers play a key role in Bilingwo’s activities, contributing their skills to enrich workshops, mentor children, and support our events. Your tasks: - to help children in the kindergarten - to help with documents in reception - to help create materials for lessons - to help in winter camp

Accommodation, food and transport arrangements

The volunteer will live in a single room in a student dormitory with a shared bathroom and kitchen. The dormitory is located about 15 minutes' walk from the office. The volunteer receives a fixed amount of pocket money and food allowance. A city transport card is also provided.

Training during the activity

The volunteer can participate in Polish classes offered by the organization. At the beginning of the project the volunteer will have a short training preparing him/her for the tasks.

Participant profile

We are looking for a volunteer who loves children, perhaps studying at the Faculty of Education. A person who can work with children with developmental disabilities. who likes to work with different people and cares about the world's future, -is open-minded, flexible and creative, -wants to learn new things, -is responsible and motivated to act. - who has some knowledge of Ukrainian and/or Russian language. By volunteering with us, you’ll have the chance to work in a multicultural environment, learn new skills, and make a meaningful difference in the lives of bilingual children and youth.
